High-head high-capacity hydraulic turbine installation technology passed the appraisal

Recently, the results of the “High-Head, Large-Capacity Hydro-Generator Installation Technology Study” completed by Gezhouba Mechanical and Electrical Construction Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy Construction Group Co., Ltd., passed the scientific and technological appraisal of Sichuan Province. The appraisal committee unanimously held that the results have reached an internationally advanced level as a whole, and it is recommended to increase the promotion and application.
The Jinping II hydropower station is located on the riverside of the Yalong River in the Jinping Dahe River at the junction of the three counties of Muli, Yanyuan, and Suining in Liangshan Prefecture of Sichuan Province. Its unit is the highest among the domestic 600,000 kilowatt and above mixed-flow units. The maximum water head is 318.8 meters. The structure is special and complex. It is difficult to install the technology. China Gezhouba Electromechanical Construction Co., Ltd. has passed the technical breakthroughs, pioneering the installation of load-reducing energy-dissipation technology and adjusting the swing angle of the shaft coupling. The new technology, research and development of "large-scale hydropower spiral casing bulkhead welding and integral lifting method" won the national invention patent.
It is understood that with the development of hydropower in the world, the development of hydropower stations with medium and low head and large capacity at home and abroad is nearing completion. Researching and exploring high-headed, high-capacity hydro-generator installations and technologies will provide valuable theoretical and empirical support for the construction of large-scale high-capacity hydropower stations in China and even the world. It has broad prospects for popularization and application.
